The city centre is made up of very different worlds.
Kolonaki is elegant and composed. Plaka lives beside antiquity as if it had always been part of everyday life. Koukaki combines old Athenian buildings, small cafés and a contemporary urban atmosphere.
But move south and Athens gradually begins to feel like a seaside city. Palaio Faliro, Alimos, Glyfada, Voula and Vouliagmeni stretch along the Athens Riviera, bringing together the sea, marinas, beaches, restaurants and an entirely different rhythm of life.
